  • There's a mouse in the mouse! Socks the cat caught it, but he accidentally let it go. Now it's loose, and Julia and her brother and sister are thrilled. They name the mouse Lisa and leave food for her in secret places all over the house so she doesn't starve to death. And they keep a watchful eye on Socks. Mother isn't thrilled at all. Lisa leaves droppings everywhere, nibbles the corner of Julia's reading book, and keeps eluding the mousetrap. What's to become of the mouse in the house? Can Julia save Lisa before Mother - or Socks! - catches her?
